  1. Ben says:

    -“a relationship of dynamic love”
-the church has often talked about it as dogma to believe, but it is a ‘living force of love and thought’
-At the essence of God’s being is love
-Medieval mystics: John Rousbroec: “It is in our nature to love”
    -Jeff Imbach “the river within”
-“Social Trinitarianism starts from the Cappodocian fathers

  2. Perichoresis and appropriation:
•Perichoresis= is to “indwell” or “dance around”
    •Perichoresisdescribes how substances can mix
    without losing distinct properties
    •Appropriation = mutual involvement

“Genuine acceptance removes fear and hiding and creates
freedom to know and be known. In this freedom arises a
fellowship and sharing so honest and open and real that
persons involved dwell in one another. There is union without
loss of individual identity. When one weeps, the other tastes
salt. It is only in the Triune relationship of Father, Son and
Spirit that personal relationship of this order exists, and the
early church used the word ‘perichoresis’ to describe it. The
good news is that we have been included in this relationship
and it is to be played out fully in each of us and in all
    creation.”

Trinity as a source of human passion
    “a relationship of dynamic love”
    Trinitarian and paradoxical
    The movement towards union
    The movement towards uniqueness

  3. The theological concept referred to as perichoresis affirms that the divine essence is shared by each of the three persons of the Trinity in a manner that avoids blurring the distinctions among them. By extension, this idea suggests that any essential characteristic that belongs to one of the three is shared by the others. Perichoresis also affirms that the action of one of the persons of the Trinity is also fully the action of the other two persons.
